Family

I was thinking this weekend about all the people that I love. There are way too many to name, so I wanted to focus on four of them.

First is Travis.
Travis was the baby of the family and he fit perfectly. I left the house when he was only 8, so I missed a lot of things that he did, but he and I are just a tight as anyone else. He grew up so much this past year while he was getting ready to go on his mission. I saw what a fine young man is was and was still becoming.

Then there is Marcia.
I think that everyone should have a sister. Growing up Marcia and I were very different and did not have a lot in common. But now that we are both "grown up's" we get along great. She honestly is my best friend. I am so glad that I have her for a sister and can share all of life's experiences with her one way or another.

Next is Brian.

Brian and I have always been close. I have learned so much from Brian. He has the most giving heart I think of all the people that I know. When Brian came home from his mission for the Ukraine, he came home with very little. He gave almost everything that he had to them because they had so little. Brian has taught me patience and how to be a more loving person. I try everyday to be a little more like Brian. He is such a great uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. What a great example he is to all of them.

And then there is Andrew. Andrew was my buddy when he was little. I loved to be his "mother". Andrew is so committed to the things that he does and he does things 100%. He just got into the accounting Program at BYU and I know that he will do fantastic in it. He also is a great uncle. We have talks about uncle Dewey often in our house.

I love all you guys and am so glad to be your sister.

Family Photo's

I have not posted anything for a while, so I thought that I would put a few...ok, a lot of my favorite pictures on to share.
This was Sunday afternoon and McKay could not smile for me.
I love this smile.
OK. This is THE CUTEST picture I have ever seen. I LOVE this picture. She is just so beautiful....
Mackenzie posing for the camera again.
Hailee fell asleep today and her bow fell over her eyes. I just thought it was cute.
Trying to get a smile on camera.

She did not want her picture taken with mom.
Cute smile!
Playing in the snow before it all melted.

Did you think I was gone?

It has sure been a long time since I was last here, but things have been busy. Let me catch you all up.
Mike has been traveling a lot and when he is home, we are working on the house...or at lease trying to. We have the upstairs to paint and then we are starting on our bathrooms. Our bathtub broke in March and we have yet to put the new one in. We are trying to get this all done before the baby comes. Does anyone think that we will????
Jordan is getting ready to start school. He has his first day of kindergarten on Monday the 27th. I have been trying really hard to not cry about it. He is so excited. He has a new superman backpack and a Spiderman lunch box. We have talk about what food he wants to take in his lunch he can't wait to eat there. Here they do all day 2 or 3 days a week. He will go every Mon and Thur and then alternate Wed. I am not so sure that I will like this schedule, but I guess that I don't have much choice.
The twins start preschool the first week in Sept and the too are so excited. I don't know what I will do while they are all at school.
We are getting ready to go to Utah for Brian's wedding. We we be there for almost 2 weeks. I can't wait. The kids are very excited to see all their uncles and aunt. Plus their cousins. I have not seen Baby Austin yet and can't hardly stand that other people have already. So there is a lot to look forward to in the next month.
I have some pictures from swimming that I will post later. ALL of the kids know how to swim without any help. I love it. They are REALLY good.

Me and the twins ready for church. Jordan was sick so Mike stayed home with him.
The Easter Bunny did come to our house.
Jordan was trying to have fun and look at his basket, but was just too sick to enjoy it.
OK, This might look a little funny to all of you, but I was trying to reproduce what I saw in a Family Fun Magazine. I did the best that I could with what I had. Mike was in charge of making the cake while I was at church. The only problem was that I forgot to tell him to make it in the round cake pans. So I have to make do and cut the square cake into two pieces, but it worked fine.

Easter Weekend was a lot of fun. Mike had Friday off so we played really hard. We took the kids to see Meet the Robinson's in 3D. It was really cute, but we remembered why we only go to the dollar movies anymore. We had a nice family dinner with ham, potato's and all the normal Easter stuff. We are finding that it is nice to start a few of our own family tradition.

An actual Post

I decided that I don't write very much on this so I thought that I should maybe update a little more about what is going on with our family.
We are making progress on our house and Loving the end results. This weekend (between conference) we are going to fertilize the grass. It was not in good shape when we got here. That is Mike's job. The kids have been LOVING playing outside on the swing set. I think that they spend 90% of their day outside. I love it. We take walks almost every night with the dog. Their is a small playground in out neighborhood that we normally walk to, but tonight we walked to the school that Jordan will go to next year and the kids like it much more. Lots more to play on. Mike and I even played a little. I think that this summer we will be there a lot more.
Jordan has become quite the little artist. He just started loving to color. He colors so well too. It went from not really caring how he colored to ever inch was colored in the lines. I have been very impressed. Last night he was coloring on the patio with some chalk. I went out and said that he had colored a sharp tooth dinosaur. I looked and it really was a giant T-Rex dinosaur. I took some pictures I will have to post later. It is fun to see him learn new things and be really good at them. Mackenzie and McKay got bikes for their birthday's so we have been riding a lot. McKay is a little nervous to ride so he goes really slow, Mackenzie on the other hand tries to keep up Jordan. When she starts to fall, she just jumps from her bike. It is really quite funny.
Also, this week, McKay has this small sword and he hit Mackenzie with it. So I took the sword away from him. He of course threw a fit for a while. After e few minutes, he came over to me and in a really soft voice said to me "Give me back my sword and I will be your friend. Don't give me my sword, and I will not be your friend." I had to hold in my laughing until I told him that it would make me sad if he was not my Friend, but he could not have his sword back yet. I called Mike after and we laughed so hard. Of course he was still my friend even though he did not get the sword.
Last week I went to a Mutual and we had a girl come in with all sorts of modest formal dresses for the girls to try on. A GREAT MUTUAL for anyone who is in Young Women. I decided to take Mackenzie with me because she loves all the girly things. She was so funny following the girls all over stare at them. It was so cute to watch. She wanted to badly to try on a dress so we put one on her with the hanger still on the dress. It was really cute.
Well, I am sure that was more then enough info for everyone on our family. Hope you enjoyed to update.
