As most of you know, Mike and I serve in the Primary. Today during singing time, the kids were learning a new song. I think that it is such a great song for all of us to hear and sing. I wanted to have all of you hear the words.
"If the Savior stood beside me, would I do the things I do? Would I follow His commandments and try harder to be true. Would I follow His example, would I live more
righteously, if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me.
"If the Savior stood beside me, would I say the things I say? Would my words be true and kind if He was never far away? Would I try to share the gospel, would I speak more reverently? If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me."
"He is always near me, though I do not see him there. And because he loves me dearly I am in his watchful care. So I’ll be the kind of person that I know I’d like to be if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me."
As we were singing it today, I felt the Savior there with us and I knew that he loved me and that I, we, are in is watchful care. Right after we were done singing, Jordan was called on to give the closing prayer. I was able to help him pray for the first time in Primary and again I felt the Saviors love for my son. I know how much I love Jordan and I can only imagine how much the Savior loves my little boys and girl. I hope that all of you reading this can read these words and feel the Saviors love for you. It is a great song. I am going to put the words in a frame for my family to read every day and remind us that altough we can not see Him, our Savior really is close to us each and ever day.
