Family Update

I have been looking back at the pictures and story's that I have on my blog from a long time ago.  I can not believe how cute my kids are and that they were ever that little.  I can't believe that Jordan is 9 and the twins are about to be 8.  Boy, how the time has flown.  So I thought that I would post a little about what has been going on with our kids now.
Jordan had a dr appt this past week and I had told him about it.  He hates to go to the Dr.  He even hates for anyone else to go to the dr.  He worries that he is going to have to get a shot.  He got a shot of an antibiotic when he had an ear infection and since then he gets freaked out.  So I had been prepping him before the appt.  He was changing his clothes and came out and said, "so mom, where is this Dr"  it was so funny to me.  He sounded so grown up.
Mike was driving McKay to basketball practice and McKay looked at Mike and said, "dad, I got all the moves".  Mike asked him what he meant and he said "the moves for basketball"  Mike asked him to show him the moves and he said "I can't in the car dad, but you will see them on the court".
One of Hailee's favorite movies is Barbie and a Fashion Fairytale.  It has lots of music in it.  While in the living room one day, she burst into song and sang, "get your sparkle on.  That's my favorite song"  It melted my heart to hear her sing.  I love to hear her sing or even talk for that matter.
One night Laci was not feeling all that well.  She kept waking up and crying one night.  I tried to calm her down in her room, in the living room, in the hallway and nothing would help her be calm for longer then a few minutes.  She saying "dada"  So I finally took her upstairs to Mike who was in bed.  She climbed right in and snuggled up next to her dad and went right to sleep.  It was the cutest thing that I had ever seen.  I wished that I would have been able to leave her there the rest of the night.
Mackenzie and Mike went out on their first daddy/daughter date.  She was so excited about it.  She was invited to have a sleepover at a friends house and she turned it down and told her friend that she was going on a date with her dad.  She got up in the morning and told me that she needed to get dressed really pretty to go out.  I was so glad to see her and her dad out together having fun.  It is hard to be the true middle child.
I sure love all my kids.  I know that Heavenly Father sent these kids to ME because I needed them.  They teach me something everyday.  Because of them, I want to be a better person.  I sure love them all.
